providing a thunderous foundation for tunes yet to come

just finished this, 2017 loaded squier '70s precision bass body (not sure if it was CV or what). I've had this for over 2 years. So much crap got in the way. I still have an unfinished neck for it but decided to take neck from 2018 MII Squier VM Jazz bass and put it on the precision body. Then I put La Bella Deep Talkin' flat wounds on it. All I can say is "wow". I think I have finally found the bass sound I've wanted all these years.

after playing for a while and adjusting the action, I'm going to go the extra mile and shim the neck pocket, I want to get that last mm of action I can. This is too nice of a bass to not go for perfection.

and yes, i know i mixed metric and imperial :D

Looks like a CV 70’s p bass body to me. I don’t think any VM models came with a bridge cover, and gauging by the screw hole, that body used to have one.

That’s what I’ve heard from everyone that’s touched one. I’m considering trading in my MIM Standard P for one.

yes, I saw those screw holes and I was like "oh, yeah, I'm going to get one of those, boo yah" I want to get a bass mute too, there's an adjustable one that I've read about on TB that I'm very interested in

Awesome, let us know how it works out if you do get it. I’ve considered putting one on a bass or two.
