Not so much a song, as maybe a riff?

Sounds good! I assume from the title you used a Blackstar amp. I really want to get one of their heads, I tried one out years ago in Axe Music and I really liked how it sounded. But since Axe closed their bricks and mortar shops, there is no retail store that is a Blackstar dealer in my city now.

I was thinking of cruising some pawn shops to see if they have any.

But yeah I was liking the riff. It could definitely go somewhere. Keep working on it!

Yeah, this is a Blackstar HT Club 40 MK.II
And then in my DAW I added a cabinet IR from a Hesu 2x12. The DI out on the Blackstar is harsh without adding an IR.

The second version I linked was the DI (no amp) recorded at the same time as the amp in my DAW, run through the Neural DSP Archtype Plini plugin.

Sounds pretty good to me. I’m gonna take a guess that you’re a Metallica kinda guy :)
