    Hei everyone!

A new guitar is snowing in today, the first time i trade a guitar.
It’s gonna be a Squier MIJ E7 serial Stratocaster in black with rosewood neck and some changed parts including Fender '63 pickups and a new pickguard.
Some of you maybe remember i already had a Squier E serial MIJ Strat which i sold because it was some sort of neck-body-electronic piece meal. I regret selling it because it had this amazing neck.
Now i found another one on the Facebook marketplace, the guy was asking 545 SwissFranks=USD. A price i never would pay for this guitar but he agreed trading it with my 1994 Korean Epiphone Sheraton i buyed a few months ago (made a thread) for 190$ including a Laney amp which i already sold for 60$. It’s a stunningly beautiful guitar on the wall but i just don’t play it and it is easy for me to let her go because I’m a MIJ fan. So in the end i pay 130$ for this MIJ Squier, nice deal.
I want a yellow rosewood strat with white Pickguard for a long time - maybe i gonna buy a yellow body and a white '62 pickguard. But first let’s see what i get.
I gonna meet the seller in about 3 hours. Pictures will follow.

Cheers and a happy New Year’s Eve to everyone!

    Here she is.

Serial number E760200. Like expected for most E serial no neck date but probably 86-87.

Beside some scratchy areas on the back of the body and some dings she’s in very good condition and shiny after i cleaned everything. The guitar was dirty as hell, especially the fretboard was horrible. It took me two hours to clean and it was the first time i used gloves.

The whole neck, body, bridge with trem block, knobs and covers are original. Two pickup mounting screws and one switch screw aren’t original but no problem.

The replaced pickups are Fender '63 Pickups the seller told me, some sort of reissues i think - they look pretty nice. The other electronic parts and the pickguard are also changed. I’m pretty excited to hear how these pickups sound in this guitar - don’t have new strings at home right now and because the installed strings were that ugly, nasty and probably full of DNA, i had to took them off, not wanted to play them.

    Below some pictures.

Cheers and have a nice time!

Now she has new strings on. After some adjustments the neck is perfectly flat now, low action and perfect intonation. It plays so nice and easy over the whole fretboard, the quality and feel of these necks are just amazing.
The guitar truly sounds phenomenal together with these Fender '63 RI pickups, amazing strat sounds. I played it over my peavey classic 20 MH and my beloved old vox ad50vt which i switch for clean sounds.

Like already mentioned i would like to have a yellow strat. A shop here in Switzerland has some Guitar Fetish XGP poplar bodys in stock, also a yellow one. I heard that these bodys can be hit or miss.
I think I’m gonna order one to check it out, could always send it back if I’m not happy with it.
If i like the body i also would buy a white '62 pickguard, install the Fender '63 RI pickups that came with the guitar, put in some CTS pots i have at home and also install some prettier looking string trees.

Below you can see also a picture of the yellow body and a picture of a yellow Fender Stratocaster from the internet, that’s pretty how my strat should look like :)

Cheers and have a nice time!

I had the same thought on the strings trees for my E7. I've kept the originals in storage but the headstock looks so much better now to me.[IMG]
