Sold my Cozart Tele this morning. Then this popped up on CL.

Just snagged it. Not a great deal, but reasonable. Pretty much swapped my Cozart for the Affy Tele.

It's getting an RRG harness. I already have a GM Cool Kat neck pup which was earmarked for the Cozart but didn't fit. I'll look into getting a nice bridge pup ... maybe a dual rails. :)

Needs a output jack plate. How did I miss that? Oh well.

Um ... yeah. The purple room is my daughters'. I'm out of space in the mancave, and I've been putting guitars in their room. ha ha

    Nice, HNGD!

I've been thinking of getting that same Tele. There's something about the color that calls me!

Love that pickguard. I may go in that direction also. How does the HR sound in the bridge? I'm diggin' it. :)

Thanks. I'm gonna do it. $2 cheaper than GM ... but heck, $2 can get me a small caramel frappe at McD's. :)

Hollah !! This is lots of fun.

I also ordered a pearl pickguard off of ebay. That may take awhile as it's coming from the Middle Kingdom. :)

Affinity vs Bullet: I just had the opportunity to do an manual side by side comparison of an Affinity and a Bullet tele. Both identical Butterscotch transparent finishes. Bodies 1 9/16" ea, both routed for neck humbucker. Same tuners, bridges, saddles, and strap buttons. I didn't look under the hood, but dual single coil pickups sounded near the same to my ear. The necks also look to be the same, 1 string tree, nuts 1 5/8", thickness at 1st fret 3/4", same at the 12th. Fret wire very close. Fret ends on the Affinity were perfectly finished, the Bullet had sprout and required finishing. Bullet had walnut at truss hole, Affinity no walnut. Guitar weight, Bullet was 1 lb more than Affinity. The Affinity had "Jack Pearson" resonance vibration above the Bullet. Why make them so close? Seems crazy. If given the choice in a "used" purchase of near price, the Affinity pulls ahead given the neck factor......…..in my humble opinion.

    Eddie, nice grab.

Great write up. This is great info. Thank you. :)

The Tele search will continue. Gonna look for something different. It's part of the fun. :)
