Got lucky on this one, I bought it online and the pictures were not great so I had to trust the description. It had about 8 years of dust on it, and somehow the dead strings were perfectly in tune.... to me, that has to be a good omen. I should probably leave the gold pickguard on it, looks like the number one Stratocaster that Gilmour is selling, but it sure seems to be asking for an 8 hole single ply mint guard... I seem to want mint guards on everything...

That is sharp.Nice flame on the neck.I agree on the mint guard, they look great on any guitar.

  3. Gorgeous on all counts. That neck looks absolutely beautiful.
I wouldn't rush to change anything. I think the gold will grow on you.

I just had another one of those "I should have kept that one" moments. Congrats on that CV @snivlem , nice flaming on that neck. On mine, I opted to keep the gold anodized pockguard and just get a matching back plate.

HNGD! Beautiful Strat, congrats. I'm a huge DG fan. I have a Black and a Red Strat. Now I need a White one?...:)

Wow! Instant guitar envy. Super looking neck. I didn't like the scratch plate on the first pic but when I saw the one of the whole axe it was much better. Personally, I think a white scratch plate to go with the golden neck would be stunning.
