Its literally on the whole neck. I dont know if this is considered good or bad in terms of wood quality, but it sure looks nice. I'm sure there's a proper term for it, and someone here would enlighten me. :p

If I'm not mistaken, that's a quarter sawn neck. If so, its a good sign! Quarter sawn necks are more stable and rigid.
    Where's birddog?

And HNGD of course!!! I persuaded a friend to buy a second hand cv50 tele recently and he couldn't be happier. I've played on it and it is a joy to handle and to listen to!

You are now a permanent member of the CV Owners Club, since, like many of us, you now have both a CV Strat and Tele. I'm probably the odd man out though, 'cause both my CV Strat and Tele have rosewood boards.

Paulownia ,it is what I prefer now days do to a health issue , I am a sitting only player but I have to use a strap ,if I don't I'm too long in the torso so I'm hunched over. 7.5 lbs is my max now days even though I still have a Les Paul that is approximately 14 lbs that I can't let go due to sentimental reasons.:)

    HNGD!

I myself have been debating back and forth between the vintage blonde or butterscotch, but that VB sure is nice!
Enjoy it and post your thoughts once you've had some time with it!

Thanks man! Is it a quartersawn? I know they're very stable and desirable bit always thought those are plain looking with tight narrow vertical grain lines. I had no idea. What they make and sell new for $320! I'm loving this thing

So far I'm loving it! It has a very chunky sound for a Tele. At least this one does. A little twang but not the typical Tele sound. Kinda like in between a single coil and an hb. At least to my novice ears. One thing I'll say is it is heavy. I hear that's common in the VB

6893536D-3CC5-40E0-BE9D-A090F7B2C67B.jpeg Hey @Lonn, I borrowed your "look/idea ", and switched out to a strat switch tip. Great idea pal! I like it so much more. It looks better, and I can get my finger around it easier when it's in the bridge position.
