It finally arrived. Pictures don't do this guitar justice. It's not a flame maple neck, but the fingerboard and headstock have a really cool figuring to them. The vintage blonde is absolutely beautiful! I'm glad I waited and didn't just spring for the butterscotch that was available. I think I'll be happy for a while. My GAS has been satiated. Time to plug her in and get to practicing. I was worried it was going to be an anvil when I saw the shipping weight at 15.4 lbs. My fear was unfounded as it was shipped double boxed with about 5lbs of paper stuffing lol.

  2. Ahhh man .... you're drivin' me nuts. I miss mine. Dang that's fine.

Im pretty much a novice when it comes to playing, but Ive been around guitars and musicians most my life . So I'm really not claiming to know much when I say this, only my experience and what I've heard from different guitars. I can't even begin to describe just how much better this feels and the fuller, meatier sound than my Strat and my old les Paul Jr that was sold . This thing just rings! And it's chunky sounding, almost like in between a single coil Tele and a les paul. I've heard Teles that sound thin and yes of course Tele twangy. This isn't that. It has a little of that but a lot chunkier if that makes any sense

Congrats ! That is a beauty ! I love them but they are just to dang heavy for me ,had to sell my BSB but, I've built a couple lightweight ones to get by. That sound you are describing is the neck pickup, they sound (to me) almost like a humbucker . :)

Yeah, it's definitely got some weight to it. Doesn't bother me because I'll probably never be playing on a stage with it strapped around my neck and I'd look ridiculous prancing around my living room with it strapped on lol. I'm a couch player. Since we're talking about weight. I picked up a brad paisley road worn Tele in a shop the other day. It was almost too light. That thing must've been 4 1/2 lbs, and I'm not exaggerating! I looked it up because it didn't seem right. It's made out of (excuse the spelling) PaIlona wood? Too light for my liking

Beautiful! I love the figuring on the neck and headstock. It DOES look really nice. Happy New Guitar Day. Enjoy!

Yeah it's really pretty! Thanks! A bit on the heavy side but it doesn't bother me. Weird thing is, I don't see any grain running up the neck only this "speckling"? Forgive me if I don't know much about wood, I don't know what you would call it. Definitely not flame. It's on the back of the neck also, the whole length of the neck and headstock
