In some of my recent dealings, I acquired a nice Tortie Strat pickguard loaded with Rose Mariposas. So now, I'm sitting here thinking: "What the H#!! am I going to do with THAT?" So I start surfing the Interwebs and find this: I thought a genuine Fender Light Ash body in near mint condition with a 2-point tremolo would look real nice with that Tortie PG, so I pulled the trigger. Now what about a neck? Yep, you guessed it! There's a brand-new, 22-fret, vintage tint, highly flamed, QUARTERSAWN neck on the way too. Looks like those Mariposas will find their way into S/N 050!! My camera is still in the shop after freaking out, so additional photos will have to wait. This project will be in the "For Sale/Trade" pile when completed. Probably for less than a rather pedestrian used MIA, or new MIM Strat; neither of which have KILLER wood parts. Whaddaya think?
