Got this LPB Bullet about a month ago...it was a little over $100 brand new so I wasn't expecting much...
    SURPRISE...
    I like it a LOT!!!
So I decided she was worth a bit of sweat & tears and rounded the fret board edges 2 weeks ago and tonite I polished the Laurel fret board, put on a new Silver Series Squier decal and installed Gibson tulip style buttons on the stock tuners (which are actually decent!)
Tomorrow nite I'm dropping a Dimarzio 36th Anni. PAF in the neck and then I think I'm done with this little
    gem:) P1040048.JPG P1040051.JPG P1040052.JPG P1040053.JPG

  3. The silver logo is definitely an improvement over the plain black. Tuner buttons? … me ... I'd have left them original.
    Nice work. Cheers, Barrie.

Yeh...I know those Gibson style buttons seem almost sacrilegious:)
But the only guitar I owned for 20 years was a '65 Hummingbird and these buttons just have a very familiar feel for me...they do change the profile of that classic Tele headstock though!

I think that's awesome! I've got a special "hate-on" for people that dump the Squier logo and try to use Fender logos... I'm always sayin that there's tons of cool Squier logos... And the silver was a great choice!

Hope the pup swap goes well, and this remains one of your favorite...

And as one of the anti-Gibson league, lol, I actually kinda like the tuners, too... Because I mainly like stuff that's different and unique... And those tuners are definitely that, and therefore cool in my book...

Love the logo!! - tuner button choice is unique but for some reason it reminds me of this

Those tulips have to make it hard to use a peg winder...

you’d think they’d be split shaft.

Hey Billyb. Looking good. Personally I like traditional looking guitars, which is why I think all Les Paul guitars should have those tulip style buttons. Could you please tell me how you did that? I've always assumed I needed to get the entire set of tuners to achieve that look. Are you telling me I can just change the buttons? Where and how? Thanks!

The Bullet is already routed for a humbucker...so the install was really easy.
Also this is not considered an F spaced pick up but the strings line up almost perfectly:)

    @squier Tap:
Yep,I agree...I have NO prob showing up at jam sessions with my Squier branded guitar(s)...
I don't like when players try to fool people into thinking they bought a "Fender"
And this Silver Squier decal I found says very clearly..."by Fender"...even has the spaghetti F...
    I really like it:)

I thought they looked a little close together to use a wider, glad it worked out for you.

Thank you Billy. I just ordered these on the chance that they will fit in place of the removable chrome ones on the Chinese LP style "Jo E Chang" that I picked up from the GHS factory closeout offerings. I'm having fun cleaning this beast up as I wait for the electronics to arrive. The buttons are the only purely aesthetic modification. I hope they fit. If not, I'll find another spot for them. Thanks for the heads-up.

Your Bullet came out great, BTW. I'm still warming to the tulips on the Tele headstock. It's growing on me.
