Hi! I'm new around here. I just bought this MIJ Squier Strat (Serial M) and I need some information. Back in time I had some other Squiers (Deluxe, MIM Squier Series, Vintage Modified, Classic Vibe, etc.) but never had a japanese one, and I can't find information about that M serial. I'm waiting for the seller to send it and I will replace the humbucker with a single coil soon When I pick it up I will post some more detailed photos.
    Thanks!

I think there were MIJ Wayne’s World strats with a M serial number in the 90s, but those weren’t red. I could also be wrong

Welcome to the forum! This information is readily available from Fender themselves.

    https://support.fender.com/hc/en-us...my-Japanese-made-instrument-was-manufactured-

M is 1992-93, and you have an ST-362 Standard Squier with basswood body, ceramic pickups, small vintage frets, 7.25" fretboard radius, and trapezoid tuners......

How much was it? In the USA it would be worth about $250

It was not HSS stock, someone modified it previously.

Yes! The serial is even blurry to me, but the seller told me that is an M serial

Thanks for the info! The seller told me that he bought it back in 1993, and it's all stock, excluding one tuner. I'm not a humbucker guy, so I'm planning to replace it. Here in Argentina it was $310 with the dollar exchange rate at this moment. For you to know, a used Classic Vibe is around $570. Everything is so expensive.
