Actually it is a month old now, but I replaced the hot Ceramic pickups with some vintage output Alnico IIs from GM. It has a thin flat Ibanez neck with dimensions very close to the Wizard I. Though I am no speed demon I kind of like the way it feels. I could pas for new, the only blemish is some discoloration on the pickguard, besides that there is not a nick or scuff on it.

It is an Korean made ASX42, they replaced the AXS32 and were only made in 2006, the difference being string through vs stop bar tailpiece and fret board inlays. It is an SG style guitar with an slight retro-industrial vibe. I hesitate to call it rare, uncommon would be a better descriptor, I was built as an SG style shredder, now with the new pickups it is full bodied warm blues rocker.

Nice snag :) I don’t have much experience with Ibanez, but the few I’ve messed with seem to be pretty well made.

Ibanez makes some pretty nice bang for your buck guitars, the downside is there are just so many different models each with a ton of variations. As with most factory guitars the low end models can sometimes be hit or miss, but the mid grade and high end models rival any other factory made machine in their respective classes.

The low end prices are all now made in China that are sold in Japan. Basses included. Quality wise, not bad for the money. I haven't seen any Korean made Ibanez guitars here yet.

    HNGD !

Kinda looks more like a double cut Les Paul than an SG ;)

Ibanez makes some nice guitars for the $$$ .

My nicest guitar is my RG320R with the wizard 3 neck and Dimarzios .

Sweet!! Ain't that the old John 5 sig model?

It reminds me a lot of my PRS... And it's making me wanna install a set of chrome pickup covers in it!

Good luck. I'm a huge ibanez fan. Looks nice. I own many Ibanez both Japan and Korean. I just recently scored a 1976 Ibanez Lawsuit Guitar w original case for $100 from an old friend. Needed some intonation and bridge adjustment. Pic enclosed. Enjoy that Korean Ibanez there awesome.

I agree as well. I have Three! I always keep my eye out for new ones. I gotta say, I like that one. is that pickguard aluminum? What ever it is I like the contrast between the light and dark.

The pickguard is black plastic with a what appears to be a thin brushed aluminum overlay. I have considered cutting a pickguard from some aluminum diamond plate I have left over from another project.

I two am a fan of the Artcore and Artstar lines, I have had a couple of them go through my hands, very nice guitars, the ones I had were just not really my style. My first was an AF75, which I traded for a AF151f which I traded for a YM93 that has become a favorite.

Nice 93! I have one in Trans Red, yours is prettier! I have a 73 as well which I really like and it's a bit smaller. I also have an AG95 (it's my sig guitar) and plugged in is the best sounding although the 93 isn't far behind. Now I have GAS again!
