Ordered parts today and I'll start with a pic of the body and as I get parts and progress goes I'll post more but here's a teaser. 20180226_180444.png

Great start Tony. Flame the way I prefer. Subtle.

Beautiful starting point with that body! I'll be watching the build. I'm not personally a fan of Tele ashtray bridges, but if I was using one, that looks like a very good quality one. I'm always shocked at how crummy genuine Fender ashtrays are, with jagged wrinkly corners. That Wilkinson is a nice piece.

Got the bridge in today. I've been in training the last 2 days so there's no progress. 20180301_211758.jpg

New member Antigua has written very good things on TDPRI about the BYOG pickups. I bet they will sound killer! Eager to hear your reaction.

By the way, do you mind saying where the body came from?

I'm very eager to hear them. I read everything I could find about them online before I ordered them. They look like they're very well built.

Guitarfetish body. It's still 4-5 days out because I chose the standard shipping.

I'm impatiently waiting for a Strat body for a project myself. I'm liking your choice of parts...a little vintage here and there with a dab of contemporary. Cool stuff so far.

I have a neck that's ready to bolt on and go. It's got really nice abalone markers and a bone nut.

That's the review I remember. Looks like a great set of pickups.

I heard recently that there was an additional discount for the BYO pickups if ordered via Reverb.com, but it may be over, I can't find that now. I also found this "discount coupon" for purchases from Reverb, but I don't know if it is for real or not. Personally, I'm very skeptical of coupon sites.

I also see that BYO on Reverb.com allows one to make an offer below the asking price, so presumably one could buy a set of these for about $60 or so delivered. That's a good price!
