So I’m looking to buy a Jagmaster to mod. I find this guy selling this guitar (see pictures).

    https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/0B0OW9TiO793xLS1qWS1pYURQVGs

He says he got it from a pawn shop. Guy says the pawn shop told him it was a prototype. He says he thinks it’s from a NAMM convention. I don’t really care about that stuff. It’s a squire Jagmaster body with a Fender Custom Shop Neck on it. Some of the things that are holding me up he wants 275 for it. Decent price if it’s real. But he has no serial number for it because the neck is different. What do you guys think. Check the pictures neck looks real.

Also- will this neck mess up the intonation?

Is that the one on SRQ craigslist? I assumed it was a faker job.

It looks like someone put a Fender logo on a Squier neck to me. The tuners are Asian, not something that would be on a “real” Fender.

No you are right it is in SRQ. But it looks to good to be faked.

Yeah but the regular jazzmaster neck doesn’t say all the extra jazz underneath.

My question would "a real what"? Squier heel plate, Fender water slide "With Synchronized Tremolo" (which the guitar doesn't have). Custom shop logo which seems unlikely.

It’s easy enough to change all that when you’re replacing the logo.

So do you think it’s a real body at least? I’d offer him for the body. But I bet it’d be hard to find the right neck for a Jagmaster.

I’m sure whom ever built this just did it for their own entertainment and satisfaction and never meant to pull the wool over anyone’s eyes. ;)

If it were me, I would proceed on the basis that it's a partscaster of some "parts unknown". It might be a really nice one but you'd need to play it to make that determination. It might be "real nice" but in the conventional sense, I doubt it's "real".

Edit: My guess is it's a Squier Jagmaster with some headstock didgery pokery...

I don't know much about offsets, but when looking at the pics of the headstock it looks like someone just change squier to fender it doesn't look like they even changed the whole decal. The black looks different in fender than the rest of the logo.

It’s probably a Squier Jagmaster with a swapped logo.

Guys, this isn't a partscaster at all.....it's 100% factory original EXCEPT the headstock logo.....it's a Made in China Squier Jagmaster.....

And $275 is way too high IMO
