So I took the Affinity I was supposed to fix, to the repair place to see why I couldn’t get it working (it turned out to be a bad input jack, and both tone pots were bad-all the parts I DIDN’T replace already) So they had this bass hanging around.

I had gotten the above bass from a yard sale almost 2 years ago now. It was...OK (especially after I replaced all the electronics) I thought the neck was too skinny, and was considering getting a different one for it, but I saw the Giannini. I traded the Austin for it, so for less than what a different neck would have cost, I got a whole new bass!
The G has the ‘54-56 style single coil pup, and the big pick guard. I wonder why there aren’t more of this style P’s around-99% of them are the usual style, and I wanted something different. This one has a wonderful neck-it’s 1-3/4” nut and a real full depth carve. It feels great. The electronics are the cheap stuff (dime pots) but for the price I’m not surprised. It’s all good, though.

I thought about reshaping it, but I’d need to add wood to it. The tuners are VERY close to the edge!

The neck feels so nice, that I’m just gonna not look at the headstock. :)
