I picked up a Peavey Patriot last year with the intention to flip it. After playing in it for a while, I finally put it up for sale (w/ a molded HSC) a month or so ago. About all I’ve gotten were trade offers, nothing that turned my head, but over the weekend a guy hit me up about trading his twin for it. I was thinking it must be the solid state Twin from a while back, but still decided to meet up. Yesterday he comes to my house, it’s a Twin Reverb ‘65 reissue! Even has the original footswitch . So we turn on the amp, he plugs in the Patriot and plays for a while, then I mess with the amp a little, we talk about the bands we play in a bit, and dude decides he’s happy with the trade. I accepted as quickly as I could! I’m still in shock! For a total investment on my part of $145 (paid $120 for the guitar, $25 for the case) I have an American made Fender Twin Reverb reissue! The only issue with it is that the reverb tube is an 12ax7 and needs to replaced with a 12at7, not exactly a pressing issue. Now, to move some of the other amps I have slowly stacking up along the walls hahaha. Might be time to say goodbye to the Lab Series L5.
