    thanks
this one really sounds nice, doesn't really have the tele twang to it, but I like it even more because it just sounds different

Yeah, stock they don't really twang. Mine is rock monster though... It has Fender electronics with Destiny pickups.

    THIEF!!!

    Congrats! great find.
I have two SX Furrians (Rondo Tele copies) an Ash and an HH. Some of the hardware is oddball, but overall the guitars are pretty good for their prices.

    Congrats.

I have a somewhat similar guitar, a thinline Douglas, a "sister" model to the SX. You folks know I own several SX guitars, in fact three, a short-scale Liquid, a Strat clone, and Les Paul P-90 clone and I used to own a SX Jazz bass copy (in fact it was the best-sounding I thought (and heaviest) of my five basses.

I haven't seen that model in some time. The O.P. can email Kurt at Rondomusic and he may be able to give you a little info about the model.

And I agree it doesn't have the twang so I just decided to accentuate its sound it has so I put some 11s pure nickels on it so it has a smoother, jazzish-like sound. It needs new strings so I'm thinking about slapping on a set of GHS Burnished Nickel strings which I understand has somewhat of a flatwound-like feel but doesn't sound like a set of flatwounds because, well, they are not flatwound strings at all.

    .

If you want a little more twang, try some 500k Bourns/CTS pots and pick closer to the saddles.

I have had an SX ash sunburst Thinline for a number of years now. All upgraded including Fender Original Vintage '58 pickups. Great guitar. Been playing it a lot lately.

    You got a killer deal!

The serial numbers don't tell the year. By the headstock shape I can tell it would be newer than mine. I would guess the past couple years.
