That's a nice one, congrats and welcome!

And that's the nice thing about Squiers. Not too heavy on the wallet, most are pretty good stock and, for a few dollars more and some time, you can build yourself a hell of a custom guitar from one.

Don't get me started on the things I've done to mine.................:D

Hi. I want to say thanks you very much for valuing my guitar.
I would like to discuss some difficulties in the process of modifications.
    1. Distance between tuning holes did not match with Kluson's standards, there were a few millimeters remaining between them, I had to put bigger screws to tighten them. (default had trapezoid tuners, very bad quality and rusty).
    2. Some of the new tuners were not perfectly flat on the inside, they danced leaving free space. It has been solved with dremmel.
    3. The last tuner overhangs the neck and has been cut about 2-3 mm to leave on the same level with wood.
    4. GFS tremolo with large block did not enter correct in corresponding gap, has been resolved with scraper, about 3-4 mm of the wood of all senses to move freely.
So confirm me that wood is red alder, well cured in 20+ years.
Tremolo base plate is wider than original, has been cut 2-3 mm of pickguard.
In general, everything has been solved. And you can do it when you have an exact plan in mind.
Forgive me for many words, I hope it has been helpful to those who have similar problems.

(Hi man, I do not think there are some problems with no solution. Let the people decide. A greeting..)

    Well, it looks good.

Definitely have to have a plan, though, especially with parts that weren't necessarily meant for an Affinity. I converted my Affinity Telecaster to a vintage '51 nocaster style, something it was just never meant to be. And it had its challenges. But, like you, I had a plan and it all came out just fine.:D
