Missed out on this cool archtop

    I spotted this in a pawnshop. Not a lot of info on it but definitely from the late '40s early '50s and maybe earlier. Maybe Gretsch related. It's in great condition with no cracks or neck issues. The tuners have been replaced but everything else appears to be original to my layman eyes. Plays better than my other three acoustics and has a really cool tone. Definitely a player.

    I struck a deal for $200 out the door. Then the clerk brought it up on the computer to find that it is on layaway and shouldn't have been on the floor.

    Dang.

    I've seen a lot of those..The name doesn't ring a bell but it was likely made by either Harmony , Kay, or Regal..I never played a Regal that I didn't like..
    That guitar just might be a steal at that price..
    Just hope that the other guy backs out and lets you get it..

    That bites big time.
    Maybe "Mr. layaway" won't come up with the cash and it will be yours.
