If I ever need to bring a guitar with me on vacation or on a trip... I'll just bring my 24" scale Bullet Mustang.

    Thanks Neil,
It was a pignose guitar that gave me the idea, I saw this one for sale.. and the rest flowed on from that.
The main criteria was 9v battery powered a must. Next was the most powerful I could find in that range.
    [I've since found a 5watt Blackstar..]
    Intonation was straightforward.
Agreed they appear to be toy-like, but once you do this they're more grown up.

I jam at work with one of my colleagues using a Roland Micro cube and this keeps up with it with output [not effects of course].
All in all Bob's my Uncle.

I was asked how much it cost to do this so a rough breakdown as follows so in $NZD [$1 NZ = $0.64 USD]

    Squier Mini: $150
    Neck: $40
    Orange Micro Crush Amp: $51
    SD Humbucker: $65
    Push-pull Pot: $15
    1/4" Jack: $3
    1/4" plug $2
    better tuners: $45
    new strings $12

    Total $383 NZ = approx $245 USD

Time taken around 10 hours spread over 4 days.
No cost, Gats are a labour of love. :)

Still a bargain, and it's unique.

If you find yourself in a position to do something like this, do it, you won't be disappointed.
