Welcome to my build and project thread.
Hi I'm Corn ! Although there's no way I'll post everything, I'll try to keep it eh,, "not too corny". :p Advice and encouragement is and has always been appreciated and welcomed, I thank all of you for both. I haven't built a complete guitar in a while so here I go.
This Non Reverse Tele-Bird is getting close to being finished. I don't have many pictures of the neck build, but here's a couple , it's a 24 -3/4" scale Tele neck with a Canarywood fretboard and aluminum dot fret markers

This is gonna be another real fun thread! Love your choice of exotic wood! Is that a neck you made or purchased somewhere?

Here I'm making a pickguard template. It's basically a Firebird shape with Tele routes and a skewed neck pickup, it will have a cut in half Tele bridge

Just added this thread to my Watch list. As others have mentioned, that fretboard is gorgeous and intriguing!

IMG_0653.JPG I was kind of on the fence on what color I was going to paint this, finally decided to use up some paint I had on my hand , I forget the name but it' looks pretty much desert sand, not sure I'm liking the white pickguard either

I'm also contemplating painting the headstock the same color, next I will be doing fret level and getting it wired up ready to play

Ok I stand erected, I mean corrected:p. It is a Fender scale 25-1/2" , i about crapped , I thought I set the bridge for 24-3/4" scale ," whew" I got progress, fret job and tinted the pickguard. I like the cream look better
Next I'm going to skin the headstock and paint it to match the body ,, hang tight... IMG_0686.JPG IMG_0687.JPG

All Right, corn, that's a good-lookin' T-Birdie!...If you can..(I can't) do an photoshop thing, or some other image manipulation, to check out a Tortoise P/G........the right shade would blend the body color, and that SWEET canary fretboard,together....hope that makes sense......

Yer Glasses, in above post pic, really set the idea for me.......BUT, the existing P/G looks good too........Carry On........Over and Out....willhowl:cool:
