Looking for a recommendation

    Theory, scales and modes are my weakness. Looking for any recommendations for books any of you have used that you find both interesting and very helpful in teaching you good scale and modal usage. If it includes chord theory... better yet. I had looked at one of the Mel Bay books but it was tad dry.

    guitar grimoire...its a whole series of books. they detail everything.
