    That's a sweet looking top on that one. Should be nice when you're done. As far as why the bridge adj. screws face the pickups, it's usually just easier to reach the screw heads that way, if they face the tailpiece it's sometimes harder to get at, but you can have it whichever way you like.

    That looks like a great project. I love buying a dirty guitar and getting it all new looking again! Yours is looking fantastic! Hope it ends up playing as good as it looks.

    The guitar has a great feeling neck and nicely set and finished frets with respectable crowning. Unfortunately the rust, corrosion and even slight pitting wasn't limited to the electronics. The frets needed some dramatic attention. I went after them gently and patiently with 2000 paper. Just enough to shine them back up. Some playing and wiping will finish the job.

    The nut seems to be cut correctly judging by the initial action when first unpacked. Unfortunately someone was too aggressive with crazy glue and it spilled out onto the fretboard. I use a clean new blade and gently but firmly drag it toward me at an angle. Then I condition the board.
