From those pics the only thing for sure is it's a black guitar.

I'd jump on it, but I'm a die hard mij fan. Its not an outstanding deal, but still a good deal considering it's a hardtail. That's the low/mid end of average of what they go for. I paid $350 for one with a vintage vibrato from MusicGoRound last year, and $100 for one with a Kahler earlier this year, both Fender's, not Squier's.
It is for sale @Strat-Talk, so the owner is a member there.

Says no fretwear....if that were local, I'd buy that in a heartbeat.

Black or not, I'd sure like to play it to see how it sounds.

    I love hardtails.
Here are the pics for posterity since the ad will probably be gone soon.

And that's impressive because every mij fender I've had, the frets burn up quick. They're non existent on my 83.

Exactly. When I first saw the price I was thinking "sure, $400 plus a re-fret" but I saw the ad says "no fret wear" and I'm immediately looking through my rolodex for people I know in his area... lol.

Yup especially the one with vintage fretwire. I've seen ones that are like new but at a minimum the cowboy chords have dents.

That's not a big deal honestly. Most guys who have a preference for these mij Fender's, know it's probably gonna be there.
My last Mustang I bought new, it's a 2012 mij, within 2 months it was there. They kinda seem like they wear quick initially but then it slows and doesn't wear anymore for a while. My 83 is a "Fretless Wonder" lol. 20171011_144113.jpg 20171011_144104.jpg

The Maple fretboard wear doesn't bother me if the frets are in good shape. Makes me think that what appears to be maple fretboard wear in the cowboy region might simply be dirt.
