I never do an incoming NGD post, but I'm excited about this one, I took advantage of the eBay 15% off code and ordered a new Olympic White CV70 for less than $300 from Sweetwater. Can't wait!

I think it'll be the first of the new CV70s we've had reviewed here... look forward to hearing your take and seeing the pics!

The old Classic Vibe 60s Strat made in China is gone, no longer made.....

The old Vintage Modified line has been given upgrades / changes, and is now called Classic Vibe......

The new CV's have narrow tall frets, real bone nut, and narrow tall frets and Fender Designed pickups.....

There is no more Classic Vibe 50s or 60s Strat.....or Tele.....once the old stock runs out, it's done....

That’s disappointing that the old CV series is ending. Looking forwards to seeing what the new ones will be like but doubt they’ll be as good as the CV50s or 60s were

That's the only color that SW has in stock so far. We're all curious to find out how the new pickups and poplar body compare soundwise to the Alder body and Tonerider style pickups on the now discontinued CV 60s Strat.
I really like the looks of the walnut 70s one, but I have way too many Strats already, and since I got the Am Performer (my avatar) it's the only one I play, cause it blows away all the others, including my Am Pro.

Too bad they went with the 70s large headstock :(

I'm not a fan of the larger headstock either, but it is relevant to the 70's which is a big distinguishing feature..

That is a great deal. The CV Squiers are every bit as nicely built as the lower priced Fenders. I have a VM Jaguar and it is a great guitar, in sound, playability and finish.

So did they discontinue the VM strats as well as the CV50s and CV60s?
