I'm a fan of the Squier Deluxe. I'd like to see it made in new colors .
Helluva lotta GREAT ideas here...
If I were Squier, I'd start some kinda web forum, call it SquierChat, and that way we could have our ear to the ground, and our finger directly on the pulse...
My actual answer? I'd definitely be workin on those prices... As it stands, like has been mentioned, it's basically $100 or $400 with little in between... Squiers are gettin FAR more popular and it seems as if EVERYONE's gettin in on my lil secret... But I'm sure one of the MAIN reasons that some of us have LOVED Squier for SO long is because we can get quality, licensed Fender style guitars at a DECENT price... But it kinda seems like now that Squier's takin off, it's leaving some of it's MAIN supporters behind... It's great that now people are seeing the light, but don't forget the people that carried the torch...
I'd much rather have LESS variety and cheaper costs, (like the past) and I'll just build WHATEVER I want... I don't want a $450 Squier... If I did, I'd just buy a MIM Fender...
i wonder if the fender-squier people are reading all this?
I had a sneaky suspicion that was coming....
Maybe make something like this
When I worked at Weber, I lurked on all kinds of forums and sites. Everyone would make the same comments and then were surprised/shocked/delighted when lo and behold, I released the 22 1/2" smoker, improvements to the water capacity, thermometers, various ports and other things. I also designed their 14 1/2" smoker but that sat on that for a couple years until after my departure.
I would be shocked if a company the size of FMIC and others do not have people lurking and actively seeking what customers want. It's all free market survey material.
The Dimension, The 2 Jaguars that were in full scale.....
Oh, and can you please, PLEASE outlaw the trapezoid tuners? I mean, can it really cost more than a dollar or two to step up to Affinity grade tuners?
Just out of curiosity, which model of the last 10 years or so has trapezoid tuners?
I’d like to see them do a better job of keeping up with their serial numbers. Half the guitars you try and look up aren’t listed, or you get really minimal info for the ones that are.
Yep. Just pulled them off a brand new '18 Bullet HT Strat.
(I also see them on Epi Specials, but Squier can't do anything about that.)
OK, I'm not a strat guy, but thought it would have been the same as the Bullet tele.
More satin necks would be nice.
A 5W Squier Classic Vibe tube amp would be nice!
Just curious. Does FMIC make any amps outside of Mexico? I dunno, like the Frontman, Champions or Mustangs maybe?
If there was already some Fender Corp amp presence in Asia, I’d be game. I really like the DSL line from Marshall (made in Vietnam, speakers from China). I’d love to see a 5W 10” combo from Squier with basically a Blues Jr circuit for maybe $275 or so.
EDIT: Corrected "Vietnam Nam". Almost became "Viet Om Nom Nom" I must have been hungry!
Squier please get a few models with chunky necks!
All of this makes me appreciate my semi-hollow body Squier Starfire series 24 more than ever. It will hang with an ES 335 any day.
Just worried what will happen to it when my time to leave this world comes.
