I am aware...no worries...it’s all supposed to be fun. I do wish though that my wife said “Go buy another guitar for your extremely hard work and you’re the best thing since sliced bread”, but alas no....

    Rock on all!

Well, I had to replace the water heater in the house today. If this place keeps falling apart around me I should be in Custom Shop territory by Christmas. :p

Well all I can say is when you're married to a great woman, if you have an old house with an ongoing repair/remodel scenario and you've been playing music for a while she might just like you enough to keep you thinking you got lucky.

@SubSailer671 Last week I rebuilt the front walkway w/pavers. Maybe you could have your wife call my girlfriend and they can figure out what kind of a prize I can get. I'm thinking a new surfboard or a couple of weeks in Puerto Rico...….

That was kind of my thought too. The apartment where I live (or 1/2 of a one floor duplex, call it what you want) used to be a rental owned by my in-laws. My wife inherited the place a few years ago. Over the last several years that we have lived here, we have been slowly piece by piece replacing all the fixtures, carpets, appliances, etc. When it was a rental, it got the cheapest stuff you could buy. The new faucet in the sink was my cost $140 at the big box store. I imagine the plumber quoted $200 for the parts and $200 for labor. That would be about going rates in this area.

The wife says your girlfriend is *your* problem, not hers.

Nice story, I'm sure it will end with a new guitar now.

About 6 months ago, the bathroom lavatory faucet started leaking really bad. Tried to replace the internal cartridge but it just wouldn't work. So, off to the big box home improvement store I went.

Bought a faucet set for $49 bucks! Proud of my self. Installed it and it WOULDN'T work; at all! So, back to the store.

Bought the second set, which is the one I should have bought to start with! Installed; works perfectly! Wife says, "I don't like it!" SMH!

But going rate around here is about $150 for faucet, $150 to $225 for installation. That's if you buy it from a plumber or fix-it company.

But I did get a couple of guitars after that. She's pretty amazing guys!

I replaced my gas water heater, which is on second floor, by myself with only a bit of help getting the old one down the stairs that has a 90 degree turn. Nuthin' from the Mrs. on that one. However she did reveal recently after a couple of sips of a margarita (it does not take much for her...) that she's saving for a very special gift. A BMG Super. I'm a big Brian May fan.
