Hey all! Can't help but to post a few pics as of now, getting so excited to get this one done! I really want to keep it, but it's going to a good home :) IMG_20180619_183548.jpg IMG_20180807_103444.jpg IMG_20180808_192807.jpg

He really is, and I do believe he can learn! Seems to really have a drive in him for it :)

Thanks! I can't take cred for the paint job, my painter in my bodyshop took care of it for me! He's definitely got my business for paint work!

    Nice...
I'm doing some Mini mods at the moment as well.
Did U do anything to the guts of yours?
What other mods do U have in mind?

Other than just repairing what was junk on it from the get-go, leaving it as is until further notice. As confident as I am in him learning, there's always a chance it's going to sit in a corner, neglected. Or worse, abused. If I wind up getting it back, I may just sell as is, the pups actually don't sound half bad. I'd like to redo the headstock, possibly paint it to match the body, and a better set of tuners. That would be about all I'd want to put into it.

    That's the quandary isn't it???
Does it make any sense to invest $70-$100 in a $129 guitar?
Modding projects and personalizing an instrument is fun as hell but unless U R 200%
sure that it will stay in the family for 10-20 years...at some point U just have to
wonder if you'll ever get your money back...no matter HOW much fun U R having:)

Looks fantastic! whether he sticks with it or not you provided the opportunity.

My grandson out grew the mini and has an AXL now, wish he had more interest.

Well, this one came from Goodwill, so there's not a ton invested into it, probably just under $100 at the moment :)

It's 2012 Camaro Synergy Green. The black base coat was sprayed first, then green, then buried in clear.

Not yet, possibly going next weekend. Want the neck and body to readjust to each to each other, been apart for over a month. Also need to do a full setup on it, and make sure everything is ready :) Here she is all back together, sounds awesome! IMG_20180810_200856.jpg

No, no. He won't owe me anything. What we do is diminishing, and hopefully he can learn and be one of the few to keep real music alive!!
