Any thoughts, I like the Floyd rose, locking nut, schaller tunners, and most of everything else
Not alot of really good solid info on the early ones.

Thanks, @ so1om I have read as much on that sight as possible. Probably the best site I have found. No pics. yet as I am picking it up tomorrow. I have seen the pics. of it, but not held it yet, watched several vids. and looked up asking prices, but can't find any sold in the condition this is in. Was just hoping someone here had one. It's a focus 3000 by Kramer made in Japan on back of headstock. Anyone?

This is the closest guitar I have similar to it minus the 22nd. fret. The Kramer also has a coil split on it, this one has it too but only when you pull up the lower tone knob. Don't pay know attention to the clutter. Man what mess. KIMG0856.JPG KIMG0858.JPG

My buddy in high school had a mid-'70s Kramer with the aluminum neck. Strange beast. Heavy. It was an early one. He likely still owns it. Here's an image of similar ones for you younger folks who've never seen such a thing:

I had a Pacer way back then, one with the 'banana' headstock. I think it was one of the ESP Japan neck/body ones that were assembled in the US. I bought it in late '86 or early '87 and sold it in '92 for far too little in an ill considered gear purge (never again).

Haven't seen one of those since I was a kid. Those necks are hard to forget.

Only guitar I bought new was a Focus 4000,the RR body shape.
If memory serves me correctly, I paid about $250 give or take a few dollars either way.
It was a decent guitar. A couple of the fine tuners on the bridge stripped and I remember the pick-ups were lacking compared to my Les Paul.
It played well enough and it was the guitar I learned how to play Bark at the Moon on.
After a few years I traded it to an a guy I knew for a Guild Aviator 212, a nicer guitar.
Traded that and $50 at a local mom and pop for a 1971 Gibson SG Custom or deluxe, I can't remember which it was called, had 3 pickups and block inlays.

Depending on condition, I'd probably pay about the same for one now.

I have a ‘81 USA Voyager. I got one of the good ones before Fender sent them a cease and desist letter on the headstock shape. Mine has an Ibanez Pro Rock’r trem.

Was that Pro Rock’r the original tremolo on that guitar ?
From what I’ve read it was only used between 84-85 by Ibanez .
    I have one on my proline 1440 that’s why I’m asking :)

I haven’t looked in a while but I seem to remember these being held in high regard as good value. Check out some YouTube videos specifcally Steve in Boston. I think he did a couple of vids on a couple of them he has owned

Awesome guitar, I bet it screams! The one I'm getting had the ball end cut off and they call them Chicken beaks with a strat body it has the coil split feature. What would you value yours at?
