DSCN2999.JPG A little over 2 weeks ago while on Amazon, I ran into a Flameer 21 fret Tiger Flame Maple tele neck. It looked good and at $62, I pulled the trigger. Well 2 weeks later (and early from China) the wood arrived. This is a "flame-full", light weight, 1 pc slab. The nut 1 5/8", thickness 1st fret 13/16", butt 2 3/16" x 15/16", gloss finish w/abalone inlays. Frets are level, may need a slight touch up of the fret ends, but will let it acclimate for a while and check again. DSCN2996.JPG DSCN2997.JPG DSCN2998.JPG DSCN3002.JPG It compares w/ a Squier 51 '05 neck (shown). Funny it was just a tad tight for a CV50 pocket (as was the Squier 51 neck), but it dropped right into an old Fernandes F-spec relic. All in all a good deal on a quality product.

The profile of the neck looks... different. I look forward to reading your impressions when the build is complete.

Flamed maple may just be the prettiest looking wood. Nice neck!
