No just covered, but all made of matchsticks, 40,000 of them. Took the guy 18 years to build !
That beautiful work of art doesn't need to sound and play good..
Just think, if you considered the labor at about $20 an hour. How many $ of labor is represented here? It is a work of Art!
That's a guitar builder!
I wonder what it weighs. I didn't find that number when I read a little about it. I wouldn't be surprised it it sounds and plays just fine though.
Owner says it plays as good as any top of the line Strat.
Bah! Another cheap ply guitar.
Okay, seriously that might be the coolest guitar I have ever seen.
Repetitious......But That is A work of Art!!!!!!.......Amazing, Beautiful..............willhowl
I bet it does though!
What beauty! Thanks for posting, I think I would be too scared of breaking it to ever play it, but I could happily sit and look at it for hours and hours!
tedious work to say the least, obsession or labor of love ..
When you tell your kids they can accomplish anything they put their minds to, this is what you show them to prove it. In this 8 second attention span era we live in I worry that the ability to do things like this will truly be lost.
While not a guitar, here is a picture of a miniature fully operational miniature small block Chevy V8. Every part is hand made and machined including the spark plugs. The pistons are slightly smaller than thimbles. Talk about obsession with detail.
Very cool. Took over 3 years to create. He has some other interesting guitars as well, including an SRV.
I'd refrain from putting a lit cigarette in the headstock strings.
Holy crap! That's freaking beautiful...
I wonder if he built an amp with all of the match heads?...
If he did, build an amp, I'll bet it SMOKES!!!!!.......OOOOOPS...........willhowl
