Jen Trani from the Fender Play! Community posted a challenge on Friday afternoon asking us to find a duet partner, and to play a 30 second or longer duet together.

My wife saw the video, and told me Saturday evening "We Should do this!" Sunday morning I handed her one of the songs I've been working on. Green Day's Boulevard of Broken dreams, and said do you think you could improv a bass line to go with this.

    Here's the result:

I've been playing the guitar for about 3 months at this point. She's been playing the guitar about 2 months, and the bass maybe an hour or two each week.

The Bass is my wife's Gretch Junior Jett II, into an Ampeg BA-108 Bass Amplifier
I do have a Fender American Professional in Sonic Grey. This is a Solar A2.6W at this point these are the only two guitars I play with any regularity. So much so I'm considering selling the PRS and Les Paul.

Cool. I wish my wife would play bass. Or anything for that matter, but a bass is waiting for her.

Good work! Your wife seems to have good bass fundamentals forming, it sure helps to get in the right habit at the start!

That is fantastic! If my wife played music, I would probably practice way more than I do now! :)

Keep it up and enjoy each other!!!!

I've been an electronics nerd for a long long time. So Building amps isn't really new. I mean it is, but building things that require soldering isn't :)
And as Kenneth says.... I'm sure you've done a ton of things I'd be jealous of :)
