My very first was a MK3 Ford Escort in red that I added spoilers and wheel trims to in a desperate effort to make it look like an XR3! My second was a black XR3.

As for favourites... well I've been driving the same car now for 20yrs which should tell you something.... MK2 Rev1 Toyota MR2 t-bar.

The first one was a Dec '89 car (first month of production) that I modded to the max....

Its recent replaceent is a '91. Only mods here are the later revs larger brakes with braided lines (with my old 15" wheels to fit over them) and TRD strut braces front and rear.

It's not as low or as loud but then I don't lose my fillings running over every bump in the road nor have to shout at passengers ....pleasing as I find myself getting older.

I really wanted an Opel GT for my first ride but had to settle for a '67 Mustang. I learned to drive in a '73 Pinto. Dark blue with a racing strip my Dad put down the middle of the hood with 3M striping tape.

My very first car was blue 1969 Ford 17M (the M stands for "meisterstück", no less).
1.7 litres, 75 bhp and 4 on the floor.

    Pictures from the web:

The favorite had to be the white 1966 Chevelle, 4door, 283 and Powerglide. I was the second owner!
Still regret that i sold that one but i was in need of cash to buy a Yamaha V-Max 1200.(which sounded like a good idea at the time)

My first was a VW Beetle in '71. My favorite was the VW, an Opel GT, and an '86 Mustang V6. But my favorite that I ever drove was my ex's '59 Jaguar 3.4 sedan or my Dad's Chevelle SS.

First car was a '55 Chevy Belair that I used while learning to drive. It was a rusty old 4 door.

My favorite car was my 72 Monte Carlo that I drove from 1973 - 76. I wish I still had that one.

My first car was a '66 Volkswagen Beetle. The one with the 1300 cc engine they used only in '66.

My favorite car was a truck, an '02 Toyota Tacoma Double Cab. I searched all over the state to find one that was 2-wheel drive with a locking differential. Easily the best vehicle I've ever owned. We had 3 vehicles for 2 people, needed to get rid of one, and it was the Toyota because we couldn't get my mother-in-law up into it and down out of it.

1972 Chevy Vega with warmed over 327 and home-made Camaro SS split bumpers, similar to the one pictured here. After I installed a resonably strong 10-bolt that was cut down to fit the car, the swing arms slowly begain to twist and tear the steel in the floor board and I knew it was time to unload it on someone with more cash than a kid in high school. I stll miss the damn thing every now and again: Chevrolet-v8-1-8926.jpg My favorite car though was a car that I owned for only a few hours(in order to transport it from NYC to the soon-to-be owner) . The car was nearly perfect in every way except one: the damn leather seats would reduce your behind to tears in short order and for the life of me I never understood why MB never used their wonderful cloth seats in the American version of the 6.9, which was also known at the time as "sedan to separate retinas". The MB 450SEL 6.9(note the US spec bumpers): MB 450SEL 6.9.jpg
I also miss this one too,...

Ah, for the good ole days of chassis overwhelming 2-stroke power,..
There's a guy a guy I went to school with in the '70s that has the 250 triple, which was a gift from his Dad who was serving in the UK at the time: he still has that bike and it's bone stock and immaculate.
