Decided to swap out the pickups on my Firefly ff338 and ended up switching out the bridge while I was at it. I really like the new look and it sounds spectacular. 20190822_124534.jpg 20190822_124600.jpg

What kind of pickups did you install?

Like the new look. What did you do to the bridge? New stop or tom or both?

I did both I just didn't get a pic. I found a roller bridge and tailpiece in my parts bin that was gold so I threw it on while I was at it.

Nice I bet the gold on gold looks killer. I just put a roller bridge on my LP last week. So far I am liking it. Seems to tune better and intonation is a breeze to set.

Yeah the bridge replacement I'd say is No. 1 with the FF crowd, followed by tuners and then I guess the pickups. So far the bridge on my gold topped seems OK but I think I am going to sell it anyway.

I'm seriously considering a used FF. There are two on the way home. I'm thinking of stopping by to snag one. Problem is, there's no more room in the car. :(

Just curious...why sell it? They're so inexpensive, it would seem like a good one to have just laying around.

Mine plays so well I'll probably never sell it.

It would. But I'm on a very limited (and fixed) income and I would use the money to buy a fancier Firefly that should be out in a couple of months. Plus ... to be truthful ... I am sort of an O.C.D. person which I think explains why I just didn't like my surf green Squier VM Jag just because of the finish and I sold it and I got the sunburst model instead ... and the gold finish, although beautiful, is just too "blingy" for me. There are some fancier maple top models coming out and I really would like one of them to replace it.

It's like I have the Midas touch ...every thing I touch turns into a muffler. LOL

    Get a bigger car.
    Or get another car.
Or get a fifth wheel in which you can cart some of your guitars.

(Sorry. It reminds me when I wrote on another forum that I was trying out for a band but my bass rig wouldn't fit into my car so I was asking suggestions for a physically smaller amp and I got similar suggestions from the folks ... but not practical at all. Luckily I didn't like the band ... or they didn't like me ... so I didn't have to do anything.)
