Just for old time's sake:
Ralph doing what Ralph does, being helpful to others.
Atta boy Ralph
So damned tempted by this.
Tried the wife. Negatory. I need a burner Amazon account.
Excellent value... though you’ll be backing the pups wayyyyy back (super hot). Mine is still in the “plays weekly” rack.
Should have waited for the blue burst.... but with amazon rewards.... my traditional burst was under $100.
Hmm, I already have two now... do I triple up with the red?
The red is the prettiest! Also, in case anyone doesn't know, these guitars don't last long.
Last time all were gone in less than 48 hours start to finish.
Man! You've got it bad. I'd recommend a 12 step GAS program, but I feel your pain!
How did you order one? It says it does not ship to Canada.
How do these compare to the popular Oscar Schmidt semi-hollows?
Not far off, mostly hotter pups, and bone nut on the Firefly, but the O.S. is closed to a proper 335 body shape. The firefly is somewhere between an Ibby, and a 335 (different batches have had different shaped horns). Mine was set up well, but has a stained fretboard took some elbow grease to get it so it doesn’t stain my hands anymore.
The Music shop my daughter teaches in has some Oscar Schmidt‘s, and the bridge hardware seems a little chincy, but the tuners are about the same. Binding is neater looking on the firefly.
I have it shipped to a border town in Washington state and have a friend pick it up.
Watching the inventory totals on these guitars via adding a large # to cart I get,
(as of 9pm pacific time)
Red - 45
Blue burst- 94
Will update tomorrow
As of 4:30 pacific time,
No doubt the red is a hot seller
Red - 37
Blue burst- 92
