Been wanting one for quite awhile and picked this up for $150 the other day. Really like it. I went to Seattle for vacation and have been so busy I have played it no more than 20 minutes but she is waiting for me :)

Congrats! Semi hollows may be the best electric guitars ever created.

I never thought a semi hallow could sound so good for so many things.
I played my friends Peavey awhile back for awhile. Gave me more GAS to get one. this is a cell phone video I did at his place so not the best quality. Matches the playing i guess.

Yes, it's a common discover for so many solid-body players, and particularly Strat players... Incidentally... :D

You have falled in the semi-hollow trap : too late to escape now ! Welcome, I'm in since 1980, when I bought my 1st guitar :

Congrats on the Ibanez, goodonya Mate!
I love all things Ibanez, I think it might be the George Benson connection.

They sound great and they're so damned light that you don't mind picking it up again and again.

    Yours is a beauty.

I had a 335 back when they were still under $500 (1971) but just could not get used to it. I've basically played solid bodies ever since. But when I went looking for a guitar that would blend into my church's praise team's sound, the best match was an Epiphone Sheraton. This time I'm adapting much better.
I hope that you enjoy yours.

Nice. Is that an AS73? I used to have one of those (sunburst). Traded it in a few years ago. It's the only trade-in I truly regret .

    I've always liked hollow-bodies. Here's what I have currently, a couple of "Fireflys" 040.JPG :

I'm not exactly sure what model mine is besides Ibanez Artcore. I didn't see any model listed on it. It didn't come with the pickguard though. That was added.

Congrats @fadetoz I tried a Epi 339 at Guitar center a couple weeks back and thought that it was a really good guitar. I have that in my mind now when I am browsing that if I find a good deal on one that I will grab it. Maybe one of those Firefly's would be good when they get back in stock.

I've been wanting one for awhile and just wanted one as an option in the home studio. Took a long time but I have pretty much all the options I could want available now. I'm sure I can find something to get GAS over still though.
I just ordered a used Vox Saturator to run through my Blues JR. I'm excited to get that pedal. I'm a huge Satriani fan.

I told my guitar tech guy I would really like a PG on the semi hallow sometime. He pulled out a blank sheet of PG material and I'm not kidding, 10 min later he was putting that PG on it for me.
