I just could not get along with the vintage frets on my E Series Korean, so I decided to just part it out and sell the neck. Been looking for a home for this great VM Indian neck, and it matched up well. I didn't feel like another SSS build, so I found a junk pile HS pickguard and started building. SE ceramic sc in the neck, zebra bucker at the bridge, 3 way switch and master volume. Nice and simple. Miami Viceish?

Looks very cool, and pretty upscale with that neck! I like that you did an unusual pickup combination.

One of these days I want to try that painting technique that you used on the guard. Love it.

I didn't realize the VM neck was compound radius. Thanks for this info, Ken! I have one, now I'll have to hold it for the right project.

I had a buddy setup my VM - he had a hard time - lol Even though he had worked on 100's of high end vintage guitars - not many " fender type " ? He finally got it - and it's spectacular !

What year is your VM Ken? I didn't know they had compound radius necks.

This is an '07 and after further inspection, it seems to be 9.5 all the way down. I thought it was flatter, but now I don't think so (no gauges)

    maybe it's not radius ? maybe it's profile ? like C to D ?

Yes, this...it definitely tapers from a rounder profile near the nut to flatter at the heel.

I tried to take a picture to see the taper but I don't think it is showing up in the photo. Figured I'd throw up another picture of the groovy pickguard too since it didn't show so well out in that bright sunlight ;)
