Now that’s a sweet “Threesome!”
THIS HAS TO STOP. ...or does this pic require another Tele, for symmetry?
Maybe a white-wash relic over gold, with a faux gold binding..?..
It needs more!
Nice group of teles ya got there. Now ya gotta get std configuration that's what ya need for symmetry.
sick man, no doubt but overcoming challenges is what life is all about. this should make you feel a lot better, for now
I agree. Oh, and a Thinline! And one of those J5 tele’s with the 12-string headstock, but with 6 tuners. And a G&L. And, a JA-90 Tele. And... I could go on!
I admire your dedication to the Tele, OP.
I think a black double bound CVC would fit nicely with that collection.
You need two more BLACK Teles for symmetry
and maybe a few more with non Humbucker pickups.....
Beautiful Teles... I've always wanted one of those J5s, ever since I bought my vintage blonde 50's CV Tele... Which is the best guitar that I've ever played...
Like I said, those are gorgeous, and as long as you're bustin 'em out like that, ya gotta have at least ONE Tele with single coils... Humbuckers are great... But they don't "twang" and they don't "spank", lol... I would say, "Trade ya!" But my CV Tele is one of those "cold dead fingers" deals, lol...
"Oh, the rich people want what the poor people got, and the poor people want what the rich people got..."
Completing this 4 guitar set was certainly an epic quest. Took well over 3 years of bargain hunting. They get mods eventually, but for now, I'm spent, and so is all the money!
I would really like a standard configuration, to serve as a sonic baseline. Certainly not in the budget for a while, after all this! I'd settle for modding one of these accordingly, (and affordably).
If I could, I'd add 1 black one for symmetry... but it would have to be different... say, a thinline with gold pearloid, maybe a Bigsby...
But that's best called another dream for another time. And dreaming is good, but so is just resting for a little while after a goal is met.
I'm going to try to mod one of these (the black pickguard) to single coils eventually. There will be challenges at the bridge, but maybe an adapter plate will help. That's down the road a ways though. This 4th guitar was a milestone that took a few years of bargain hunting to get to. Time for a little rest.
Don't stop, Guinness awaits
