In this Marketplace ad this "Fender" guitar looks amazingly like a cheap $50 Glarry. But it's signed by friends. Not your friends, mind you, but the previous owners friends. Or maybe its signed by the cast of that TV show? That might explain the big price markup..

I would put that under the good deals category, these typically go for 700+ US or over $900 Canadian in mint shape.....looks like original pickups.....possibly.....

  6. This one's certainly not "mint" and there's too many replacement parts. Sourcing the original Made in Japan tuners would be rather difficult. I figured $500 CAD might be more inline with what it is, and who knows what's under the p/g. There's no way I'd drop 7 bills on this as is.

Someone near me just listed this Epi LP Studio Goth for $799. As if that's not bad enough I've got mine, with $150 worth of EMG pickups, listed for $275.

I guess he's hoping that people miss the "Studio" part.

It makes me think of a young couple looking at a Camaro. I forget the year but it was the last model before they stopped production and did the extreme retro-conversion. Anyway, a dealership had a very similar one down the street (off lease / rental fleet cars). However it had more miles and they wanted $700.00 more for it. The young guy would ask me the price and I'd tell him it was $x dollars. Then he would say, 'So and so has it for $x+$700.' Then I retell him we had ours for $x. I think they eventually went down the street and bought. Sometimes you just can't fix stupid.

  16. I have the same model, same color etc also "mint" as he describes his. I paid less than that with taxes in … New!
One of the few times I paid retail. Cheers, Barrie.
