They were both incredibly grungy. Got them from the same guy. The Stratocaster is a 96 Tex Mex that has some serious pick up upgrades and a heavy steel block. The Gibson is a 2005 Les Paul studio. They both have lots of honest play wear.

The Strat pups made me go "Oooooh." The LP color made me go "Aaaah."

Nice score on those, they both look pretty clean! That Studio really makes me miss mine. I had a '92 in Amber flame maple that will unfortunately, always be one of the "ones that got away". Enjoy them both!

Already sold the LP lol. Eddie? Amateur lol. I've been through 800+ guitars since 2001. o_O:D I just might be able to keep the Strat, we'll see.

These look like you have one of the best of each, Fender and Gibson. Congrats on scoring them.

Lucky that your not a hoarder, you might not show up for work and when they came looking for you, you would have been crushed my an avalanche of guitars.

What pick ups are in that strat? Looks kind of Andy Timmonsish.

  12. Looks like Dimarzio rails and Seymour Duncan Humbucker in the bridge.

Dimarzio Fast Track 1 in the neck and middle and a Duncan Distortion in the bridge. They play very well together. It breathes fire if you want it to.

I'm totally jealous. Eddie's got nothing on Lonn.

Heck, I wanna know where he gets these amazing deals?

Really like the red Studio, but I guess it wasn’t for you
You’ve probably been through a few of those I guess?

I’ve been through about 30 Epi and Gibson Studios. I’ll keep one someday.

Not IMO. If you've got an LP itch to scratch try a Studio. Used.

I had a variant of one of the early Tex Mex guitars and I really liked the neck.
