    Hei everyone.
There is someone selling a Squier Jeff Beck JV here in Switzerland for what i think is a good price. About 650$ asking price. I wrote the seller if everything is original because original they don’t have plastic covers on the pickup. If he just installed them because he likes the look better but everything is original, i want it.

Hard to find informations as they seems to be ultra rare. But i found some infos and pictures. Fernandes, Greco and Aria also made Jeff Beck models (pictures below). Greco stopped production of this guitar in 1981 if i trust a source. Fender Japan used some Greco parts in the earliest days, i know about the early JV necks with pearl dots that are Greco ones. It wouldn’t surprise me if Fender/Squier used some leftover Greco parts for this JV.
From what i found out the Squier ones were made at the end of 1982.
I couldn’t find them in any of the twang catalogs.

Sold for about 1000$. They are writing that it was a domestic model and Fender made about 200 of those.

In the 1983 catalog there is a picture of Jeff playing a guitar that looks like this. But the guitar itself isn’t in the catalog.

Seymour duncan built the original guitar for Jeff. Neck and body are from his 1961 Strat. He made him a black anadized pickguard and installed "Schaller 500N" pickups.
Jeff used this guitar during the Japanese Tour in 1976. The guitar was very Famous in Japan and because of that some Japanese manufacturers built some replicas.

I thought Tamarindo03 was linking to my guitar in post #5, but it is another member's guitar in that thread that is an actual Jeff Beck. My guitar share the 2 knobs and 3x pickup micro toggles, but I think the similarity ends there. I've removed the original images from this posting to avoid confusion.

image.jpeg I've been on the hunt for an epiphone 1954 oxblood Jeff Beck model. Very hard to find for a reasonable price.

First shot. As you see, no pickup covers on now. That’s because when the guy took the picture he had other pickups installed, but he installed the original ones again for the sale - nice! Traded it down from about 650$ to about 590$.
Now i have 2-3 other things to do, but later i start taking it apart and clean it. Detailed pictures will follow in about 3-4 hours.

  18. Very nice indeed! I spent days 3 with my '84 SQ, cleaning and polishing. I took every last screw and part threw the cleaning process.
Standing by for more pics later.;)

Wow that Beck Strat is right up my alley... This was my first actual nice electric, in 85, so black&white with dark rosewood is pretty much my ideal Strat... the control layout of the Beck Strat (vol/tone/ on-off for each pup) is also my ideal setup... I’ve seen Grecos and the like on “U-box”, but they’re always out of reach financially...

That’s guitar love ;) I also take the most ones completely apart. Nice to know the guitars and the look can make a big difference if everything is cleaned nicely.
