    I'm upgrading my Cabronita hot-rod -- removing the Fender Modern Player neck (selling that on eBay) and replacing it with a Squier Classic Vibe 50s neck

    wait, what?? :eek::eek::eek:

    yep - replacing the Fender neck w/ a Squier neck --> upgrade (IMO)

    let me elaborate -- the Fender neck is a CIC Modern Player neck, and its a beautiful neck --- but its 22 frets fully to the heel (NOT an overhang like normal 22 fret necks)

    This created an extra 1/4" (approx) in the nut-to-bridge span, which I had to compensate for by moving the saddles VERY far forward!! It works, and the guitar plays and sounds great -- but the look has bugged me since I built this guitar

    should be pretty quick to mount this up tonight and re-do the set-up
