I also want to build a Gilmour Strat lol
There's a couple near me that are tempting:
I have a LP Special II that I was trying to flip, but I think I might just go trade it in toward something else.
I love student and budget models, especially the old ones where you can tell. Plastic tuner buttons, cheap thin finishes, often times only one pickup. Functional and nothing more. Examples include the Gibson melody maker, fender musicmaster and duo sonic, Harmony bobkat, Kay vanguard and stratotone. Also the matsumoku plant stuff from the 70’s had some really cool aesthetics that I’ve been kinda ripping off lately.
Check this out:
Looks like a red version of this:
Daaannnggg....now I got some seriously severe GAS pains
I probably have one in my vast inventory for a more than reasonable price....Talk to me.
Wood grain for me is the thing, but NEVER EVER with a burst and blingless.
Every time I step into this forum I get inspired. I have seen some beautiful guitars and I must keep up with the Jones.. I have a build in the planning stage as we speak.
I built a Tele once, because I noticed the colors on the new shower curtain my wife got-blue (like Sonic/Daphne), black, creamy white, and brown random shapes all mixed together... so I made a Sonic Tele with parchment PG, P90 neck pup with black cover, dark rosewood fretboard and matching Strat shaped headstock. I posted pics of it at another website and a guy from Australia messaged me that he had to have it. After shipping I’m sure I didn’t make a profit, but it was close...
Wouldn’t it be great if we could all get together one day and bring all of our creations with us. It would be like a crazy cool guitar show!
I agree, it would definitely be great.
And I just got an Epi Junior: we should compare notes,..
