I always wanted to see this comparison because I was itching to buy a Marshall 5w. I own the Bugera V5, and have always been happy about it, but often wondered if I was just content because I paid so little for a tube amp, and maybe i was falsely telling myself it's just as good as a big name, expensive amp. I'm sure there are build and component differences that can tip the scales to the Marshall, but it does my heart some good seeing this comparison. The Bugera is a bit darker sounding, but it also has more fullness. At any rate, it was worthy of a comparison. So, Bugera V5 owners, feel good about what you got! You can buy at least 2 BV5's for the price of one MO5

Sweet sounding amps. I'd love to have heard them less driven.

I check locally for V5s almost every day. Notta. I'm gonna have to move some stuff and buy a new one.

I bought a used V5 a while ago and just couldn't get over the dark sound. Sold it pronto and replaced it with a Vox AC4C1-12.

I got my T5 used for $100. It was darker sounding when I had it with a 2x10 cab that I built. When I changed over to the matching 1x12 cab for it, that made a world of difference in the tone. I think that the Bugera line of amps are much better than their price point would make you think.

I think I almost picked up a pre-owned one two years back, but I decided against it. I'm actually ok with my Acoustic. I'm always thinking the grass is greener. But I'm happy with what I have. :)

I just started playing mine again, it’s in the family room and always easy to get good tone. It’s loud too, let the other guitar player borrow it at a band rehearsal and it kept up. Given we have a quiet drummer.

Good thing about music, when it hits you ya feel no pain.

image.jpeg image.jpeg I picked up a t5 on Black Friday for 100.00, and bought this G5 used for 80.00. I keep trying to find a V5 locally, but no such luck.

You have a nice MIA Strat, unless you sold it. But, have you ever tried any of the newer MIM Fenders, like the CP 50's and 60's, the new Player series, or the Deluxe series? They're really close to American guitars for a lot less cash.
