Edit on dupe post....
Oh... if anyone finds a nice cover that fits.... please let me know
any older Ampeg SS guitar amps ...come with nice Eminence speakers, sound deep and full
Once I got my AD60VT, I put my Katana 100 aside to be sold. I wondered if after a month or so without playing it, I could like it enough to keep it. Plugged it in, connected the 2X12 cab to it and turned it on. My preferred presets are still in there, but I still find it lacks that deep and full tone that AllroyPA is mentionning for the Ampeg. I'm sure it's terrific in a band environment with other instruments, but played alone in my studio ? Nahh, it's not for me. Still for sale.
Maybe. Arguable. I actually don't have one. I have a Boss GT-100 which goes to my own version of an FRFR.
If budget is not an issue, I'll get any of the top modeling boards like a Boss GT-1000 and an frfr.
You made me Google FRFR. So, I guess you have a powered FRFR ?
I apologize. I had to edit my post a little. I clicked on "post" too soon. My wife was giving me the look for being on the phone.
My GT-100 goes to an NRG power amp going to a PA Speaker. There is no eq'ing except for the attenuation control on the PA speaker. I would like to have a Headrush FRFR 112 soon after I unload some items. I think I am committed now to mfx/modelers.
@Eddie How about this...
TUBE amp for $200!
Basically a Fender Blues Jr (clone) at 1/3 the price: $200. Yes, he likes it!!!!
Gonna look into this.
For just cleans and reverb, without thinking about "reasonable" price...A Polytone could be good option too.
A blues junior probably isn't the best amp for scandinavian black metal.
Hundreds of songs done Metal style (from Norway, and he's a Chapman Guitars sponsored artist, perhaps?) ... And this dude can PLAY guitar!!!
I'd get a Monoprice tube amp. Solid states are ok...but gimme tubes any day.
And drums. And bass. And sing. And make videos. And produce really good recordings.
At this point I'm not sure if there is anything Leo can't do.
The best compact is undoubtly from the Vox MV series. Get yourself a decent 1X12" cab and you're in business. It has the size of a pedal and the Vox Nutube technology. It really sounds like a tube amp ... it is a tube amp, just not your regular old style tubular tube.
Let Greg show you.
Listen to this one with the Boutique model ! It's nice to see him tweak the knobs to get to the tone he's looking for. We don't usually see him do that on amps.
Triple post ... the site gets so slow sometimes, I send the message a few times before it reacts.
I am having the same issue ands a lot of times I can’t load the site. Anybody have any idea what is going on?
Must be solar flares or something similar.
BTW, if you really want a combo, stick that little Vox MV50 with gum to any cab size you like. Tada ! Instant combo.
Monoprice - you already know !
lonn doing some upgrades ?
