I’ve struck up a deal for an Ibanez LP style guitar. The girl that’s selling it knows nothing about it. She messaged me that it’s an “eio”. I’m sure that it’s a GIO. Based on the pics I think it’s a GART60, but I can’t find this particular color anywhere. Is this a GART60, or a different model?
I did a quick search - there is a 3 alpha designation after gart 60 - and I bet 2 of the letters are Q and M quilted maple cap ? I'm not a Xpert just a addict !
Awesome! How is it. I have always steered away from GIO’s because it’s their very low end models. Kind of like I always used to steer away from Squiers! LOL! Was wrong about that one.
Well....it was a kid's guitar, and it's gonna need some work. The strings are mismatched (a hodgepodge mix of 9-42 & 10-46's). The neck is flat as a pancake, so gotta adjust that out. The HB's are almost touching the strings. I'm gonna strip it all the way down, give it a good cleaning, put some 10-46s on it, adjust the truss rod, saddles, and adjust the HBs. BUT, even as mucked up as it is, it feels pretty solid, the neck is nice, and the HBs growl I don't figger I hurt myself for $50.00
I’ve been wanting to give an LP style a try, but didn’t want to put a chunk of money in one. This one feels like it would fall in between a Bullet and a Standard.
