I always enjoy looking at pics of guitar builds along the way and I seen @IronSchef pics of his build so I thought I would start posting mine. This is what I have so far...

Thanks, a ton of work but I enjoy it. It will sit for at least two weeks before I start wet sanding it. I really looking forward to pics of your Tele..

man, that is coming out awesome!!

I really like the dark grain - did you stain/sand back before starting the nitro coats, or did that grain pop like that from just the lacquer??

I used grain filler after the stain so the grain actually did come out more smooth.

There is a few rough spots on her but until I get some experience I'm for the most part ok with it. I used StewMac Dark Walnut stain and sprayed 12 coats of Nitro. I let it sit and cure for two week in a pretty warm room and wet sanded it with 1000, 1500, 2000, 2500, 3000, and 5000 Grit wet sandpaper. Then I used Meguiar's rubbing compound and finally Meguiar's Ultimate Compound. I definitely could have used another layer or two of grain filler. I used 3 layers and sanded between each coat but there is a still a spot here and there that is high/low.
