My new project just came in friday from Ontario
a 1982 Peavey T-30 (short scale) USA made with the molded "chainsaw case".
Needs a little fret cleaning and dressing and pot cleaner, the neck is thin
and straight as an arrow, a couple of hours work and it'll be dressed to kill.
Paid $220 shipping included. Only one pic for now. 1982 Peavey T-30-2.jpg

HNGD! Looks to be in fine shape, and the accompanying case is definitely a plus. Good price as well. The T-60s and T-30's are sought after these days.

    Thank's r3,
I'd rather have the T-60 but they're still to expensive, the molded case is (like
all the ones I've seen) missing the foam interior ( to protect the back of the body and the top of the neck) I wish I had the "amp in case" that came originaly with it back then.

In at least half the listings I've seen for these that HAD a case -- the foam had decayed and been removed. Most of the cases w amps-in-case, the amp is missing. I guess the temptation to put it in a cabinet is just too great, especially after the foam rots...

I redid one of these cases a decade back for someone, I got some tight weave red felt (color he wanted), folded it over a few times for the case width, hot glued the layers together (very lightly, you don’t want hard spots). I cut it out to the shape of the case, the open/re-folded the scraps to the side height (hot glue again), and used them along the sides. It looked perfect. I hot glued them in, last I heard, it’s holding up great.

That is a nice find and a USA built guitar for a good price. It looks like it only has 20 frets. You said it's short scale. Could you take another picture of your Peavy axe beside another full-sized guitar?

Good buddy of mine has a T27. Very cool guitar. I didn't know that Peavey did an amp in case. Still digging my Firenza P90.
