New build. Special thanks and shout out to luvs2yoko . I'll be starting with this... And I'm ordering a neck today it will be 21 fret maple/maple. And still torn between the fender or mity mite which are 15%off would almost be 1/2 the price of the fender.... Fender $200. Misty mite $110. No experience at all with the mighty mite ... Please chime in. The body is a made in Korea ply. I know it's not a show piece but the price was right. I already have an order out for hew pots and vintage cloth wire and stuff. And this is my other pile of stuff. Not sure if I can find all the pieces to the trem. Missing the little springs. And I'll prolly go with some of the import alnico. Pickups. Best $20.00 you can spend. And if you haven't heard squier Tony's strat that he built with them there's a u tube vid somewhere. Sounds amazing. 20191009_095109.jpg image.jpeg

Oh I do have a question can i use a 21 or 22 fret neck on this body. Will either one work. I don't see any 21 fret mity mite. In maple /maple. At musicians friend.

22 fret necks have an overhang - it doesn't matter, both always fit.

No it's not unfinished, they call it an oil based finish. This pic was stolen from the interweb. Same model neck shoes up a bit darker, on the m.f. web site. Kinda more vintage looking which is what I want , well see what color arrives.

You will be happy with the Mighty Mite. I have one and aside from a bit of touch up on the fret ends, I really like it. I am going to order another one for a build after Xmas.

I've had a gloss-finish Mity Mite neck on a hollow-body ash All-Parts body, for several years now, and I honestly couldn't tell it from a Fender neck. As i recall, I had some fitting issues with the Fender vintage tuners, that required some (half-ass) shimming, but it's running fine. I got a relative deal from some ebay vendor, right around $100 IIRC.
Mity Mite is solid in my book!

The blue paisley fender strap is for the blue paisley parts caster, the neck actually looks almost unfinished, I do like the grain.

Well for chits and giggles the old squier se tuners fit nicely, just finger tight. And really liking the grain on the neck, can't wait to add some amber color!!! 20191011_205459.jpg 20191011_205507.jpg 20191011_205521.jpg 20191011_205529.jpg

Saddle springs are on the way. Those Mighty Mite necks are nice. I just picked up a partscaster on SGW and it has a Mighty Mite with a rosewood fretboard. I liked it so much that I put it on my Sunburst hardtail Strat.
