Man, I can’t keep up anymore. Glad I got all the Fender’s I need already, one Strat, one Tele. Although I could use a Jaguar. C’est la vie.

The JM is trash to me, just call it the Offset Stratocaster. The Mustang is cool, but why the generic plate vibrato? You’d think a MIA vibrato would include the F-logo loud n proud like the originals, unless it part of the percentage of import parts on MIA guitars.

I kind of agree with Border Radio on the JM but i had the Squier that had a similar bridge and it was a cool guitar. Great neck but the humbucker pu's didn't work for me. Change is always coming i guess.

I'm assuming that these are replacing the American Special series, as the Elite did for the Deluxe, the American Pro for the American Standard, the American Original for the AVRI, and the Player for the MIM Standard.

I kind of like the Penny finish. It reminds me a little of my Burgundy Mist Strat.

Yea they might as well have sold out to a amazon or something.. no switches on a mustang?.. and to many hard tails in the MIM line up.. seems like there trying to get full price for budget guitars..

I like them, but fender is the Taco Bell of guitar companies. Keep stuffing different ingredients into the same shell. How about a new model? P90's? Bigsby?

Has anyone seen an American Special up close and personal? I'm seriously shopping the Lake Placid Blue model.

The penny colored one reminds me of my budget.

With all the loud, whining, crying, hysterical reaction they got from changing "Standard" to "Professional"? We're lucky at this point we're not just limited to sunburst or black finishes on your choice of strat or tele.

Good stuff, though nothing that interests me -but I will say for sure, they give people lots of options and ready to go out of the box. Not everyone likes or has the ability to mod, some people want different colors and configurations, so why not? Good marketing, good sales, good offerings.
