Talk to me about the Strat my wife picked up for me. It is a Toploader, fiesta read, and in excellent condition. I am pretty sure it is plywood, but have not spent any time with it yet. Does anybody have One of these, and are they decent?

wish it had a wiggle stick.
Not sure if I want to replace the bridge and keep it ahrd tail, or find a way to make it a string through.

Looks like Made in Korea....the model number is even on the sticker same as my 1989-90 S9 Squier HSS contemporary Floyd....

The body looks very Korean....it has an odd shape to the lower horn and pickguard lower horn area...

Does it say Model SB-Bullet and the color TRD for Torino Red?

It's a cool guitar, I'd def take it. And that the wife thought of you and picked it up, even better.

Hahaha! Yeah, but Im not a fan of top loaders and the thinner body.
I'm thinking fi I keep it I'll mod and refinish it, etc.

What options are there for bridges, etc., that would fit this one?

Looks like same as any modern hardtail Squier STB bridge...mounting screws might not be in same location but that's an easy fix.....

As for pickguard it's going to be hard to find one that fits as a replacement, the shape is odd/off.....pickups might also be wider and shorter....looks like they used the Squier Korean early 90s body template....

I would flip it, if that not your thing. There's a lot of players out there looking for Hardtail Strats that don't care for trems. You can always do a SRV Charley tribute Strat:)

I'll trade you a black solid wood body for that hardtail body. :D

I have a 2005 Berry Blue hardtail Bullet. Its an SSS though.

I did mod it as a string through body, using the original bridge and Fender string ferrules in the back. It's a lam body but I like it very much. Sounds good and I would get another if the offer and right price came around.

Actually, I just remembered, Squier is coming out with a reissue Bullet Hardtail right now. In white, black, red and brown sunburst.
